Study group for the 2026 NEC changes — anyone else testing this cycle? Study Help

Not testing yet myself but my school is teaching to the 2026 and there are a fair number of changes I am struggling to keep straight, particularly around GFCI expansion and the energy storage articles.

Is anybody up for a running thread where we work through the significant changes article by article? I will do the writeups if people will correct them, which honestly seems like the best possible deal for me.

Starting with 210.8 if there is interest.

Do it. Writing the summary and getting corrected is by a wide margin the most effective way to learn code, and you are getting the better end of the deal only in the sense that you are doing the work.

I will correct anything you post. Start with 210.8, it is the change that generates the most field confusion.

Interested specifically in the energy storage and EVSE articles since that is my whole business. 625 has moved a lot in the last two cycles and there are people still working off 2017 habits.

If this gets going, message me and I will pin the index post to the sidebar in this board. Code-change explainers written by people currently learning them are more useful to apprentices than anything written by somebody who has known it for fifteen years.

In. Tested on the 2023 and I am already behind on the 2026 changes. Would rather learn them in a thread than discover them at an inspection.

Worth doing these as separate threads per article rather than one giant one, so they stay findable later. A thread called "2026 NEC 210.8 changes" is something somebody searches for in two years. A thread called "study group" is not.
